The Whippet dog breed was a hunter’s best friend, speedily going after rabbits and other small game. Today the breed competes in agility, flyball, lure coursing, rally, and obedience and is a loving therapy dog.

Even though these are purebred dogs, some may still end up in the care of shelters or rescues. Consider adoption if this is the breed for you.
